A superb tribute to one of British rock’s most revered tones, this 2012 Gibson Paul Kossoff Les Paul Standard was designed to capture the look and feel of Kossoff’s legendary 'Burst. Finished in a beautifully faded Lemon Burst, that pairs very well with the stunning tight, linear flame Maple top, there's no doubt this is a very nice looking Les Paul indeed!

Built as part of Gibson’s Artist series, these models were designed to reflect not just the visual details of Kossoff’s guitar, but also its tonal response and playing feel. The figured maple top shifts nicely in the light, paired with a solid mahogany body and neck for that classic Les Paul recipe of warmth, sustain and midrange punch. The neck profile is a comfortable medium-to-chunky C, offering plenty to hold onto, very much in keeping with examples from 1958.

Electronically, it’s fitted with a pair of Custombucker pickups voiced to deliver that open, dynamic PAF-style tone, clear and articulate when clean, but with rich, singing harmonics when pushed. There’s a lovely attack and a bloom to the notes that really rewards expressive playing, whether you’re chasing Kossoff’s vocal-like phrasing or simply looking for a great-sounding Les Paul with real character.

This example is in excellent condition throughout, clearly well cared for and lightly used. The hardware has just the right amount of gentle ageing, and the overall presentation is clean and original. It comes complete with its original Gibson hard case, certificate of authenticity and warranty paperwork, and is numbered PK135.
