A rarely seen Gibson Custom Shop '54 reissue Goldtop made for the famous Yamano Music distributor in Japan. This is a fantastic, original example in excellent condition for an instrument that's now 35 years old! The gold finish is deep and vibrant complimented very nicely by the yellowed binding and lacquer checking to the top. It's a stunning looking guitar that is sure to get even better with age!
The quality of woods is apparent and testament to the high standards demanded by Japanese market. It has classic '54 specs including a single piece Mahogany neck (with a lovely figuring to it!), medium/chunky C neck profile, single piece Mahogany body with a bound Maple top, wraparound Nickel bridge, speed knobs, and the more modern and excellent sounding P-100 pickups. Compared to the single coil P-90, P-100's are stacked humbuckers that are wired in parallel, designed to reduce hum and retain the look and character of a P-90.
Yamano models are rarely seen on the UK market so this is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a rare model in excellent condition complete with tags and original Gibson USA hard case.
