1965 Gibson SG Junior, Polaris White

Always a real treat when a Junior turns up – and in a custom colour too! This one shows a few battle scars but has all the mojo you could want!
As the photos show, there are a few chips and dings here and there and overall the paintwork shows some cracking and areas through to the mahogany. A repaired crack can be seen around the control cavity and the input jack, there's a crack by the fingerboard by the nut, but the neck appears break free and overall the guitar feels robust and great to play.
The original frets are wide and fairly flat from years of dressing. It's playable as it is but would benefit from a refret. The vibrola trem has beem removed but retained in the case, the tuners are the MIJ 3-a-side type, typically seen in '67/68.
The guard showing the usual broken tip that has been neatly and sturdily repaired, the knobs are correct, as is the lightning bridge and included vibrola which can be reinstated should the new owner prefer.
The P90 is correct and sonically this guitar is far more than the “student” tag would suggest – it’s a proper rock ’n’ roll machine with a lively, roaring tone and a wonderfully comfortable chunky C profile neck that makes it a joy to play.
We’re big fans of SGs here at ATB Guitars, particularly the lesser seen Polaris White model. As cool as they come, complete with original back card case.
