1967 Fender Bassman Head & Cab
A fantastic mid-’60s black panel example, this 1967 Fender Bassman head and matching cabinet deliver the unmistakable punch, warmth, and clarity that made the Bassman one of Fender’s most enduring and versatile amplifiers in Fender's lineup. Sitting right at the end of the blackface era the AB165 circuit was restored and modified by Rift Amps to incorporate a AA165 output section - a popular mod for a punchier, more musical response. The cab has been rewired but still retains the original Oxford 12T6 speakers which are in good condition.
Tonally this amp offers tight, responsive lows, rich midrange detail, and singing, harmonically complex cleans that take pedals exceptionally well. The matching 2x12 cabinet is loaded with original speakers and delivers full, even projection with the classic Fender sparkle on the top end.
Cosmetically, as you can see from the photos this Bassman piggyback stack is in excellent condition. The tolex and grille cloth show very light, honest wear, while the chassis, transformers, and hardware remain clean and structurally sound. It runs reliably and quietly making it an ideal vintage Fender workhorse.
All in all a great-sounding, fully serviced 1967 Bassman Head & Cab in excellent condition.
